Our Mission
Education in S.D.M. B.Ed. College is an on-going effort towards further developing the potential of individuals in a holistic and integrated manner.
To produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically balanced and harmonious, based on a firm belief in God and Indian culture and ethos.
Such an effort is designed to produce citizens who are knowledgeable and competent, who possess high moral standards, and who are responsible and capable of achieving high levels of personal well-beings as well as being able to contribute to the harmony and betterment of the family, the society and the national integration .
The S.D.M. B.Ed. College at Terdal
The S.D.M. B.Ed. College at Terdal is affiliated with Rani Channamma University which is recognised by University Grants Commission and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). As of 2021, Rani Channamma University has been awarded “Grade B+” by the NAAC .
The institute was established in 2004 with the sole purpose of creating well trained techno savvy teachers with sound subject knowledge who would be familiar with the latest methodology of teaching. DGI is committed to impart need based, practical education to the students. It believes in holistic development of students. DGI believes in creating teachers who are strongly rooted in Indian culture or they can continue with their further research. It provides value based innovative education and endeavours to create responsible citizens who are aware of the multiculturalism of Indian society. Our college is the 4th college of the Rani channamma University, Belagavi in having 2F Recognition from UGC in the year 2016
DGI is known to provide the best of facilities for its students. It is blessed with a conducive environment keeping in mind the need of the present with a futuristic outlook. It has a pleasant ambiance. Other infrastructural facilities include a spacious Class rooms Multipurpose Hall, Practical lab, staff room , well equipped spacious library , ground and garden area .

Dr. Mahaveer S. Danigond a philanthropist in Terdal Nagar, have established school and colleges under SDM trust.
Dr. Mahaveer Danigond who is a doctor by profession, was born in village and completed his MBBS in the year 1976 further DC1-I and MS(Master of surgeon) from TATA memorial hospital in Murnbai in the year 1983 and was working as a surgeon, with a big lavish existence and prestigious practice basking in the glory of name, fame and affluence in the grand city, his heart panicked for the poor and needy of his village and he decided to be back to his home town where he could render his service for the betterment and development of the society in terms of health and wellness. Within no time he set up a hospital in a small room serving hundreds of semi urban and rural people of the region, Smt. Pratibha M, Danigond, stood like a rock and a backbone by his side adapting and adjusting to the new way of life that was far more challenging than any challenges that they had faced so far, climbing on the ladder of success Further, Padma Hospital is established by Dr. Mahaveer S.Danigond in the year 1963 to benefit the poor and middle class people of Terdal town and surrounding areas, has been providing good services to the people for the past 39 years, and has earned a place in the hearts of the people. A well-equipped building and people’s services are staffed like Janardhana Seva and Vaidyo Narayana Hari, It has gained a reputation in the healthcare sector

Dr. Pushpadant M. Danigond (Son) as a Managing Director of Danigond Croup Of institutes. He has completed his M.B.B.S from prestigious SDM Medical College, Dharwad. Dr.Pushpadant M. Danigond is presently associated as consultant at Padma Hospital and also a Proprietor of Padma Indane Gas Service, Terdal.
To enhance the powerful driver of development and one of the strongest instrument for reducing poverty and improving health and for creating a peaceful and prosperous society. “If you want one year of prosperity, grow grain. If you want ten years of prosperity grow trees, If you want hundred year of prosperity, grow people” believing in the set phrase Dr. Mahaveer S. Danigond has started the SDM Trust’s Danigond Group of Institute laid the first corner stone in the year 2004. The institute bravely made impossible to possible in its inception to provide students at par with an international standard and affordable education to the poor and middle class. By engaging themselves in education, health and social services, with a great determination that service to god is service to mankind. Working tirelessly and selflessly for the all-round progress of the society, the educational institutes of this trust are on the path of success within a short span of time. Currently more than 2000 students are taking benefit of the same.

Dear Students,
The purpose of Education is to help the individual to develop a well balanced personality as well as to help the child to acquire the knowledge, skills and emotions.
The main emphasis of the school in the past was limited to knowledge and skills but now we have to concentrate on the emotional development of the child along with knowledge and skills. It is the time to recognize the necessity of giving attention at the same time to the problems of personal as well as social adjustment of the individual. This has an impact on the bearing upon the effective of learning in school situations. The teacher of today needs to be trained with new technology and methods.
So the responsibility of preparing such teachers who shape the allround personality of child lies on the college of education. As one such colleges we are trying to train the teachers as per NEP 2020 policy.
